All volunteers must go through a criminal back ground clearance and TB testing prior to working directly with our clients.

Overview of Responsibility


Understand, support and implement the goals/objectives in the consumer’s Individual Program Plan (IPP). Work directly with consumer, implementing a specialized curriculum designed to meet the needs of that specific individual. Direct care to individual during program hours and hours as needed. Maintain data on each individual. Document any incidents or accidents. Promote self-advocacy. Implement a variety of skills training. Work directly with individual, evaluating and reinforcing skills training such as bathroom schedules, hygiene, etc. in a positive way. Develop communication tools and encourage social development. Identify the individual’s strengths, needs, likes, and dislikes. Provide the necessary support training for the individual. Provide community integration in natural environments. Encourage and train individual to use community resources available to the.
